A Team Topologies Valued Practitioner (TTVP) is an independent expert practitioner (an individual person) in the software, IT, organization design, or related space who brings together expertise in their field (such as Domain-Driven Design, Security, HR experience, etc.) and a strong awareness of Team Topologies. We trust these people to take part in the delivery of engagements with customers of the Team Topologies consulting organization.

 

Benefits for Practitioners

  • Brand Recognition: Identify closely with the Team Topologies brand and value proposition, providing an opportunity to take part in customer engagements of the Team Topologies organization.

  • Membership in the Inner Circle of the Team Topologies Community, which provides access to variety of knowledge articles and materials for the successful implementation of the Team Toplogies approach in various contexts.

  • Access to the workgroups evolving the Team Topologies approach and its application in various contexts.

  • Active promotion of his/her blogs, podcasts, webinars, course on Team Topologies relevant topics through all channels of the Team Topologies organization, including and not limited to newsletter, social media, the Team Topologies Blog, website and more.

  • Option to take part in the delivery of Team Topologies engagements for customers, including and not limited to guided workshops and sense-check sessions for Trusted Partners alongside or in place of the TT authors.

  • Option to be listed on the Team Topologies website as a TTVP.

  • Option to use the designations “Team Topologies Valued Practitioner” and “TTVP” on marketing materials.

Requirements for Practitioners

Aspiring Valued Practitioners are encouraged initially to join the Team Topologies Advocate Community. People from the Advocate community are invited to apply to join  the ranks of TTVPs as their expertise becomes apparent.  

Valued Practitioners demonstrate ongoing advocacy in Team Topologies through blogs, articles, training, talks, etc. They demonstrate and share practical Team Topologies implementation experience (such as client case studies), and may have Team Toplogies-related training courses that are promoted by the Team Toplogies organization via the Team Topologies Academy.

Valued Practitioners are active members and contributors in the Team Topologies Community

Valued Practitioners are also invited to become part of the core team at Team Topologies.

How to apply for TTVP

 
 

Members of the Team Topologies Advocates may be invited to become Valued Practitioners. This is done based on the impact of their contributions to the community, workgroups and the adoption of the Team Topologies approach in organization/s.

When invited to join, aspiring Valued Practitioners will need to have completed the following:

  • A published case study or article describing the use of Team Topologies within a named organization.

  • A draft article, case study, talk, or set of slides that provides significant detail on the use of Team Topologies in the real world.

  • A public talk and set of slides that include a details on Team Topologies.

  • Contributions to the knowledge base in the Inner Circle of the Team Topologies Community - if these get published on teamtopologies.com the name of the TTVP would be alongside those FAQs

  • A new online resource (a set of worksheets, a Miro board, a GitHub repository, etc.) that explores and expands the use of Team Topologies approach.

  • Other relevant contributions similar to the items above.

The authors (Matthew and Manuel) will review the material and arrange an interview with you by video call with you to talk through your experience.

If we think you're meet the bar of other peer Valued Practitioners, we will ask you to provide a 1-page doc (700 words) that describes your experience with Team Topologies. This will be used as the basis for the personal profile on teamtopologies.com.

There are no fees to be paid by Valued Practitioners.
