Many organisations have or are continuing to do ‘agile transformations’. Much of this is about changing organisational structures and applying chapters / tribes aligned to the so called ‘Spotify model’. However in many cases, these organisations also don’t really get the speed or flow that they were looking to get.
In the first of two meet ups relating to Organisation Design - tonight – we are going to explore one of the models that has gained much traction in building teams to enable fast flow – Team Topologies. The Team Topologies book launched in 2019 – authored by Matthew Skelton and Manuel Pais. They have gained good traction highlighting patterns for team design and interactions that seem to work really well in enabling faster flow as well as reducing cognitive load on teams. Interestingly – as you continue to invest in flow, you start to rethink how you set up and operate your technology business. This is perhaps where Team Topologies starts to come into its own.
Speakers
Luke McManus (in person) – has joined Team Topologies to be their Asia Pacific lead. He is their point person in our region sharing the latest thinking, research and experiences from Team Topologies to helping enable technology teams to achieve faster flow.
Matthew Skelton (virtually) – author of THE BOOK, to make work a more humane and more effective place for everyone
